Simona Shao

Los Angeles based Simona joined IDR in March 2024 to help drive IDR’s commercial growth in the US Market.

Prior to joining IDR, Simona spent 5 years at JPMorgan Private Bank in their financial sponsors vertical, covering some of the largest private equity and hedge fund managers in Southern California. Here she gained broad exposure to the private markets space, working with founders, partners and family offices across banking, investing, lending and wealth planning, as well as with the funds themselves on the debt side, setting up subscription line facilities.

Simona graduated from of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 2019. Outside of work, she is a classically trained pianist and singer-songwriter musician.
