We are looking for someone who is passionate about new design concepts, video editing and animation that simultaneously convey our key messages to our target audience. Working as an integral part of the marketing team, this person will be expected to work on multiple design/video requests daily and produce high-quality videos. The ideal candidate should be able to take a brief and create designs that communicates our Founder’s vision accurately with amazing animations, illustrations and designs. This is an office-based role in Observatory (Cape Town) with some flexibility, for a one-year fixed term.

  • Video editing.
  • Graphic design.
  • Illustrations Motion graphics.
  • Animation.

Other duties and responsibilities

  • Offer input to creative meetings and share ideas and able to present conceptualised ideas.
  • Produce attractive and effective designs and videos that resonate with our target audience.
  • To excel in this role, you have to be a team player skilled in communicating problems and progress, as well as being practised in collaborative working, being receptive to constructive criticism and being able to turn a vision into compelling visuals.
  • You must have a multidisciplinary set of skills across the creative process, such as storyboarding, scripting, character design, illustration and basic audio mixing.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience (within financial services or a B2B sector would be very beneficial but it’s not essential).
    Prior experience in the financial services industry will be a bonus.
  • Degree/diploma in the design field, or other relevant qualification.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, XD, Adobe DC Pro, Premier Pro and Adobe After Effects).
  • Exceptional conceptual skills. Ability to solve problems with visual solutions.
  • Curiosity to learn about private equity, private markets and investor onboarding will be very beneficial – as this is the industry we operate in. Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
